Dog Days of Summer

Take your dog out on the water and support the Anne Arundel County SPCA on a Harbor Queen cruise of Annapolis. The 2nd Annual Dog Days of Summer Cruise is coming up on Thursday, July. Local pet friendly business Cruises on the Bay™ by Watermark® has teamed up with the AACSPCA to plan a doggone fun evening fundraiser on the water for dogs and their humans. The Dog Days of Summer Cruise is open to the public. Guests will enjoy food from Graul’s Market, music, games, a silent auction and a full cash bar. Special refreshments will be served for Fido. Hot dogs can cool off in baby pools on the top deck. The party starts dockside at 6:00 p.m. and Queen will depart at 6:30 p.m. for a one-hour cruise around the Annapolis Harbor. Half of ticket proceeds will be donated to the AACSPCA. Friendly on-leash dogs welcome. Dogs cruise free. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended. Thursday Nights with the Stars: Tony Spencer and Miko Knight

Thursday, July 24, City Dock Stage, 7-8:30pm

Tony Spencer, a local performer with international talent, will serenade the audience with an Ole School R&B/Urban Jazz edge.  His smooth delivery, accompanied by the sultry style of Miko, an Annapolis treasure, will bring back songs from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s & 90’s. An initiative by the Arts in Public Places Commission, local actors, actresses and musicians will showcase their star power on Thursday nights in July and August from 7 to 8:30 on the City Dock Stage. Bring your chair and come on down town.

 

2014 Summer One-Act Play Festival: This or That

The Colonial Players 2014 Summer One-Act Play Festival, “This or That” will be nine one-acts, ranging from comedy to drama to the absurd, including three original plays penned by Colonial Players’ own members. The festival promises to provide actors with a wide variety of interesting parts and audiences with a wide variety of interesting shows.
